Stop saying the Conservatives are deologically driven! All parties are.

I am getting sick and tired of hearing the word ideology being used as a smear. Here is the latest attempt by a columnist at smearing someone as being "ideologically driven".

The real poll, as they say, is the one on election night. But if final results confirm this tendency, Harper and Flanagan will be one happy ideologically-driven tag team. And quite a team they make. Flanagan, a Catholic, U.S.-born professor of political science at the University of Calgary, has been Harper's closest adviser since the days of the Reform Party.

Ms. Legault, you are being incredibly insulting, I guess you don't care. Look how she points out that Mr. Flanagan is a Catholic! Oh noes, he is also U.S. born! He must be evil. Why must these people use religion or being American as attacks?

She is naive. All political parties are ideologically driven, that's why they formed parties. The get like minded people together to run on their ideological platform. The difference among the parties is one of ideology, of course it is. They are parties of conservatives, liberals, separatists, or socialists.

Ideology is not a bad word, nor should it be used to attack people. I wonder why the left preach tolerance for other people's societies or religions, but not tolerance (nor respect) for other people's views on government?

But does that quote not really reveal the true nature of leftists/communists and socialists? The deep seated fear of the USA around the world. Mankinds only real attempt at freedom and for which all these sniveling back stabbing low level humanoids fear more than the god that made them. (real conservative)

I am not sure the USA is the best attempt at freedom and democracy in the world, but you could argue it would be one of the most successful (in some aspects).
