Now Official: Greens are out of the debate

The Bloc, NDP, and the Conservatives were against her inclusion in the debates, so, Elizabeth May and the Green Party are out.

I am torn between whether or not she should be included, but I do think she should be thankful for being excluded. I think she would have caused more harm then good, have you heard her talk?

Also, I wonder why she (practically) endorsed the Liberal candidate in Whitby-Oshawa.

But even as Ms. May vehemently denied she is co-operating with the Liberals, an email surfaced showing Ms. May cheering on a Liberal candidate.

This morning at 9:19 a.m., Ms. May sent an email to Brent Fullard, the new Liberal candidate in Whitby-Oshawa, Ont., and copied the email to a broad range of reporters and politicians.

“I cannot help myself!!! GOOD LUCK BRENT!!!,” writes Ms. May in response to a Liberal press release announcing Mr. Fullard's candidacy. “You and Doug together can expose the massive incompetence of Mr. [Jim] Flaherty.”

We're better off with Harper.

Of course Lizzy was going to back out and endorse Dion in the last minutes of the election campaign.
What an feeble attempt to unite the left.

Voting Green is not a protest vote, it is a backdoor vote for the Liberals.

Ah yes, the suppression of political debate.... it's such a democratic thing to do.

I guess the time for debate has indeed passed.

Stage left.
How does not allowing a fringe special interest group to waste time in a national debate between national parties constitute suppression of political debate?
Are the Green Socialists a recognized Party? Nope takes twelve seats for that distinction.
Don't you have enough socialist BS to take as gospel with out the bag lady?, Ya still got ole Taliban Jack and watermellon Dion, It's not like the message is different with the Green Socialists, Tax and Spend, Punish business and get a free depression of the economy for every failed socialists idea they think will work for us as it did not for everyone else who tried it.
You should try reality it's not such a scarey place when you give up the childish fantasy that we can all be wealthy if only we rob the rich LOL.

I wonder how May feels about this candidate: http://ridings.greenparty.ca/article206.html. I wonder what he thinks of May.

I think she should have been included. Might serve to split the left-wing vote and let Harper come up the middle.

Remember the PC / Reform days of yore?

Great comments all around.

I have missed feelings about May being in the debates. True she might help split the vote, but it could be the opposite.

Every single time I hear her talk I cringe, she has a strong tendency to put her foot in her mouth with silly analogies and what not.

If she is in the debate, people might see her as the sham she is, and actually move back to the Liberals.

I guess she can always stand outside and call Harper Bush's lapdog just as effectively.
