Who says Harper has no sense of humour?

A little background in case you have been in a cave all day.

As another commenter answered the question above at the "Halls of Macadamia", the media who would like to portray Stephen Harper as a cold fish.

We're better off with Harper.

I can be pretty sure of one thing - they didn't know who she was - I know I have no clue who she is. One more CBC talentless hack with an ego bigger than ability.

Too funny, thanks for the video, I saw only half of it tonight. At least they were gentle with her, and the handcuff question is going to do more to make PM Harper humanized than any sweater ad ever will!

Does CBC understand that they are helping PM Harper??

Uhhg Suhanna Marchand. The Vampire!
Apropo as she works for the CBC which sucks blood from CDN tax payers.
Stare at her mouth for more than a minute. I double dare ya. Obligatory volume off as it is the CBC.

While Steven Harper came out shining in this one, I have to ask what a CBC show is doing trying to disrupt a political speech during an election campaign? That is absolutely unacceptable meddling in the electoral process and there is no humour in that.

Ha. I guess the comments show that bloggers don't watch much TV as I suspected. She's readily recognizable, from commercials for products, as well as her hosting on 22 Minutes.

What I find most interesting though is your knowledge of Harper's Bill C-61 Copyright Act (Canadian DMCA). For posting this video, under Harper's wishes, you'd be liable to a $20,000 to $500 lawsuit from the CBC.

Saskboy I don't watch much TV, and I don't watch any CBC except for Hockey Night in Canada.

Saskboy, why would I fall under C61? For linking to something that was posted on a public website? Does that mean if I link to your blog I am violating your copyright?

I wonder if she will disrupt any other campaigns or just Harper's

I recall watching his press conference when this happenned. I didn't see her get carted away, but someone mentioned that she was from THH22M to him and Harper said something to the effect of: "Oh? I don't watch that show" (which I found rather funny as I don't watch it either due to the fact that it sucks) Then there was a bit of a chuckle in the banter with the next reporter to find out if they were from the same show.

No, because I offer my site under Creative Commons licensing instead.

And you would fall under Bill C-61 because you're Canadian. What you did is no different than what ISO Hunt and others have done, and has attracted international attention from the RIAA/MPAA lawyers. Right now Canadian law protects you, but it won't if Harper comes to power again.

saskboy I don't think so.

Show me the legal proof where linking to publicly available content is going to get my into trouble under a reintroduced C61?

I am not a lawyer, but it seems to me that I am covered under the "Fair Dealing" provisions.

Also to be clear, I am not a fan of C61, but that is not enough for me to not support Harper.
