Liberals get Punk'd

Finally the Conservative war room get's their humour right.

Just before midnight Saturday, as tired campaign staff and reporters headed for cabs home after a flight from Vancouver, some were offered "welcome home packs" by a couple of young men.

Gift bags. Most just took them, not bothering to check them out in the rush to get home. Then a closer look. They were blue. With blue ribbons. And a Conservative logo on this note:

"Their plane is old
Your journey was rough
For a better week
Come with us."

Obviously aimed a reporters, but at least one Liberal ended up with a bag, and he wasn't amused when he discovered the source and the contents:

Must be what those kids in the war room get up to on a Saturday night. As one Liberal put it: "They should get a life."

Finally a some humour that isn't pathetic toilet humour, or cringe worthy. The Liberal staffer above needs to get a life himself.

Its an election, these things happen. The prank was harmless and not distasteful. This sort of back and forth would make the election much more interesting. This is much better then sign trashing or pooping puffins. He is just upset that he got punk'd.

We're better off with Harper.

You do realize that average Canadian citizens find this behaviour disgusting right?

If you don't, please know, you're not helping yourselves get elected with these childish tactics.

anon, I doubt it.

In this case its pretty humourous, and not cringe worthy. Politics can have humour in it, as long as it isn't classless.

This particular example isn't classless.

On a CBC segment where they asked people to complete the sentence: I would like to see....; The best part of the week was .... etc. The question The funniest thing was... got two out of five responses as the Puffin Pooping item -- Canadians (outside the Liberal Party inner circle) do have a sense of humour. They realise a bit of good humoured fun and laughs are as much of a health issue as a mental break from pressure. This prank was imaginative, humourous and intelligent -- good show folks.
