An NDP candidate in British Columbia apologized Sunday for removing his clothes in front of minors at an environmental retreat 12 years ago.
What was Julian West thinking? Someone really needs to watch him when he is around kids.
An RCMP officer says police received complaints from the camp that West dropped his shorts in front of a group of teens and asked them to paint his body.
Ick.
This is buried on the Globe and Mail website but some trumped up charge against Mr. MacKay from several years ago is the lead story? Nope, no media bias there.
We're better off with Harper.

From the Globe and Mail story:
Mr. Layton is standing by West, who was once a member of the Green party.
“We welcome people who have advanced ideas on issues relevant to the environment,” Mr. Layton said Sunday while campaigning in Gatineau, Que.
So, is shedding your clothes and asking a group of teens to paint your body considered to be one of those advanced ideas Jack and the NDP party are promoting?
I have a feeling this story ain't over yet. Anyway, if West remains as candidate, we might pick up some votes in that riding as a result and increase the number of votes we got last time around. I read the riding's population aged over 65 is 22%. Don't think they and other residents take too kindly of a guy who thinks it's OK to drop your pants in public and in front of kids.

What I'd like to know is...When are there going to be stories of the LIEBERANO$ surfacing? Layton would turn this into the environment....like he didn't have a deal with the marajuana party. Just a bunch of LIERS in my opinion. Then we have Goldhawk tonight saying after a caller from Alberta phone in about the environment that he would just put up a FIREWALL around Alberta. People vote for candidates for the stranges reasons, and honesty, and integrety arn't in the cards it seems.
I am a youth leader, I know damned well I would be fired and hauled of to jail for that.
Even back then.
A video turns up showing you smoking dope? You're fired.
A video turns up showing you smoking dope, dropping acid and driving? You're outa there.
Drop your pants in front of teenagers and ask them to paint your body? That's OK. In fact we encourage that kind of progressive and environmentally friendly (somehow) behaviour.
Yuk, reminds me of Bob Rae skinny dipping with Rick Mercer...
Did Louise say this story wasn't over? There are more details in today's local news:

This guy sounds a whole lot more questionable than the lawyer pot activist that Jack dropped. Something's wrong with Jack's compass.
