Dion won't go Negative eh?

*cough*BS*cough*

Just weeks after Stephane Dion pledges not to go negative he does. Yet another flip flop.
Dion added the Liberals will work "to win the hearts and minds of Canadians in appealing to their noble sentiments and to their positive will to do the right thing. He said the Liberals won't resort to "the negative, nasty approach of the Conservative party and their current leader."

As usual Stephane Dion cannot make up his mind.

We know hear the following crap coming from his mouth.
  1. "We need to win against the most right-wing prime minister in the history of our country,"
  2. "Stephen Harper wants to give George W. Bush a third term in Ottawa."
  3. "There is more culture in a container of yogurt than in this Conservative government,"
Oh noes, Stephen Harper better get his zing deflector raised. Or something. We also know that both internal and external pollsters are telling Stephane Dion to go negative. If this is the positive and friendly approach Stephane Dion was talking about I better get a bar of soap ready for his mouth for when he does get "negative, nasty".

Of course I hate the Bush comparisons on many levels, mostly because it is just anti-Americanism. We as Canadians are supposed to hate Bush. Oh and it's cheap and degrades our standing in the world. It is pathetic. Why bring in other nation's democratically elected leaders to be used as pawns for attacking Harper? Because the Liberals will pander to their core electorate's anti-American sentiments.

Well as we have seen so far, Stephane Dion was not more positive, nor a candidate of change or whatever other crap he will try and capitalize on in the American campaign. He couldn't resist the siren call of attack politics. Something he always criticizes the Conservatives for. Hypocrite? I think so.

Attack policies, not people. It seems to be something the left is really struggling with of late.

As a historian, Dion is a good sociologist. "Harper is the most right-wing prime minister in our history"? Nope. Sir John A. was much more right-wing. In the fifties, Louis St. Laurent, a liberal, was more right-wing. Of course, St. Laurent could do three things that le citoyen will never be able to do: even though he was a Quebecker he spoke perfectly fluent English; he won majority governments and he controlled his caucus.

That is not negative...mere fact and all fact. No innuendo a la Harper's henchmen...just provable facts...OK maybe the Cons do have a culture beyond a gun-culture.

Please tell me the Cons can also take it and not just dish it out.

Harper has enough character flaws already. He does not need another one.

Anon at 4:21 you miss the point. Sure we can take it, Harper himself has said he can take a punch. The point is Stephane Dion went negative first, that is what his advisers told him to do. He does what his advisers want him to do.

As for culture, more money is being spent by the Conservatives now then there was under the Liberals. Hardly anti-culture.

Keep drinking your Liberal koolade, and keep thinking that Harper is just like Bush, it only shows how juvenile you are.

dikeHaving listened to the American saviour Obama, and Billary, it is my considered opinion that they are further to the right than PMSH. Citoyen Dion has taken the Lieberals on a sharp left turn, I wonder if he will try to tap into the so called Obama surge. If so he can hardly hit on PMSH....argee

If you think Harper has a character flaw,What is it?

Is he indecisive like Dion?

Is he a 1 trick pony like Dion?

Is he someone who has trouble paying his dets like Dion?

Is he a coward like Dion? See how he makes a fist---just like pantywaist Martin--has never punched anyone in his life.
