Greens Hire Lawyer to Fight for Debate Spot

Some things just get weirder and weirder. Elizabeth May and the Green Party of Canada has hired a lawyer to fight for a spot in the television debates.

And to make things a little more bizarre, the party is expected to hold a press conference to announce the name of the lawyer tomorrow.

I think I have made my impressions on this rent-a-MP pretty clear.

I wonder why they chose to do that rather then just release the name in the press release. I wonder who the lawyer could be. Has to be a big name, anyone have any suggestions?

Harper can always offer his debating spot to Elizabeth May.

Actually Mé, I think that is a brilliant idea. For Harper to relinquish his podium to May and continue his tour of the provinces would hilight for all just how stupid and non-productive the debates are. Dump all the wannabes and televise a debate between Dion and Harper - without all the white noise caused by the hopless runners-up, we might get a better understanding of each man and what characteristics he brings to the table. Having Gilles or Jack (and now Elizabeth) yacking and wasting time makes the whole night useless to most observers.

Hi, Ron. I'm of the what I call the Macleansian theory of choosing debaters. I don't think an outside body such as Elections Canada, the regular courts, or the kangaroo HRC courts should be deciding with whom candidates should debate. If Harper wants to debate everyone, just Dion, or no one; it is up to him and the agreed debaters.

Finally, I will add that there is no rule that leaders must debate each other during each election.

It used to be a tradition to get drunk every friday night, but most of us grow out of that.Debate Traditions are nothing, but something made up for the MSM to brag about the next day and give their stupid opinion of who won the debate.Who really cares.??ONE ON ONE get it on.Having May and her big mouth interupting all night,no thanks.
