A Senior's Moment?

In breaking news RedTory criticizes the new Conservative website! Yeah I know big surprise.

The Dear RedTory clicks the link for "Our MPs" and sees a cute picture of the Harper family with a search widget to find your local MP, the search works by the way.

Dear RedTory then launches into his "withering critique". Now maybe it was a senior's moment or maybe he was just being sarcastic (sometimes it is hard to tell) but surely he realizes that every single page on the Conservative website has the same template?

And to counter Dear RedTory, it is not narcissistic; the Conservatives are hoping to frame the election around the leadership of Stephen Harper versus the leadership of Stephane Dion. To do this the leader needs to be front and centre.

Though a will agree with Dear RedTory (is the the end of the world?) that the new website is trying to be more mature. I didn't like the old website, and the new website -- while better is still tacky. I mean c'mon, replaced the bullet holes with finger poked holes?

All well, at least it doesn't say "Canada's New Government" or something :)

So the Conservatives are trying to market the party using Stephen Harper. I see nothing wrong with that, as Harper is a huge asset to the party. The only reason the Liberals don't plaster too many pictures of Dion and his family everywhere (and there are some goofy looking pictures of him on the site), apart from the fact that he has no children to photograph, is because they don't want to advertise the fact that they have a total dork as their leader.

"apart from the fact that he has no children to photograph"

Does he not have a daughter?

I agree to a point. There is nothing wrong with marketing the Conservative's with Stephen Harper. The only issue is that Stephen Harper is not the most liked guy, nor very photogenic. He does well in leadership and decisiveness, and not as well in "likability".

Alberta girl, yep he does.

"...they adopted their only child, Jeanne.[8] Janine Krieber, an "expert in strategic studies and counterterrorism issues,"[2] now teaches political science and sociology at Royal Military College's ASU Saint-Jean campus in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Notice that Dion had to adopt? Seems that it takes testicles to develop sperm and well, you know where this is going....

Bwahahahaha...I kill me!

As to Red Tory, does anybody actually visit that bitter old lefty gimp's site other than his elitist band of sycophantic socialist douches? If you do, shame on you!

poor old Red Tory. I'll be he sobs nightly as he sees that his beloved Liberals are heading for disaster. This as he kisses his picture of Mrs. & Mr. McTeer goodnight.

Anonymous at 7:12pm, two points:
1. That's an awful thing to say. Who knows what the reasons are, if it was a medical reason it is something that is very personal and can be very hard to accept by either a man or women. Shame on you.
2. I do, I read the Liblogs daily. RedTory is an active contributor, just because I don't agree with him on many issues doesn't mean I won't read him.

RedTory wow, good for you. That is some impressive traffic. Though I didn't ask that question :)

Maybe you were being humourous, wasn't sure, hence I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Your post wasn't filed under humour like your post on Thatcher having dementia.
