Obama's big mistake

HOLD THE PRESSES!

Experience isn't bad anymore? I thought Hillary Clinton was not fit for POTUS because of her experience leading to insider status. As in...part of the problem.

So now, Obama decides to bring in some with lots of experience. Someone who can help shore up his lackluster foreign policy credentials. Someone who can help bring in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state in the road to the Whitehouse.

On paper it looks brilliant, in practice it could backfire like mad.

So experience is bad when it is Hillary Clinton, but it is good when it is Joe Biden. Joe Biden will help bring in the working class Democrats, but not like Hillary would have. Hilliary would have brought in women and the working class. Obama blacks and youth. Youth are a key demographic, but they rarely vote, perhaps Obama would have been the one to bring them to the polling station.

Joe Biden could also cause serious damage to Obama. His attacks from before will surely make good attack ads, and Biden's own remarkable ability for going off message could also cause some troubles.

This could not have helped mend the broken bridges between the two main camps, the Democratic party could be divided seriously over this. Think Chretien/Martin wars. I wonder if Hillary supporters will now just stay home.

Obama is already polling 5 points back from McCain. That has to be serious warning sign to the Democratic establishment.
