This May not be democracy

Where wonders never cease, Dion's biggest promoter Elizabeth May has called for a grand coalition of the NDP, Liberals, Bloc, and Greens in the next election in-order to prevent a Conservative victory.

That's right, Elizabeth May is another Margret Atwood. Tabernak!

May has described the coalition as one where Greens, Liberals, NDP and Bloc Québécois would carve up seats according to the candidates most likely to defeat Conservatives.

I really don't understand Elizabeth May, for a party that claims to eschew the status quo, that is committed to doing politics in a new way, an open, transparent, and democratic way, she really likes her backroom deals.

I can't believe that Ms. May is actually proposing that backroom divvying up of seats is more transparent and democratic then our first past the post system?

Someone needs to teach Ms. May about democracy.

Oh, and as a surprise, Ms. May also had this to say about Stephane Dion:
She ended with a rousing defence of Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion.

"I think we may very well in the future describe him as the best prime minister we never had."

Is it any wonder that their are serious questions about her leadership.

So what does she mean divy up the seats?
She going to tell the Bloc and Dippers not to run a candidate where the Liberals came close to beating a Conservative?? LOL

Is she gonna tell the NEW Lib leader not to run 308 candidates or to give her another pass in which ever sandbox she choses to play in?? N o t a c h a n c e.

Or is she going to tell Canadians who to vote for?

No seat in parliament, no seat at the debates, no undeserved free advertising....back to protesting with all the other environutjobs Lizzy...you blew it.

The thing these people and the media don't get is that not every Liberal is a socialist.

How many friends who are Liberals have you heard saying, "Anyone but the NDP." Many Liberals are just as apt to come over to the CPC if only given an NDP alternate choice.

There were 4 national parties running in this election. The Conservatives won the majority of those voters.

So right langman; I have relatives who vote Liberal. They would never entertain voting NDP or Green they are just Liberal families who have voted that way forever and haven't realized that the party leadership abandoned their values years ago.

AAh yes "Liberal values" The party has moved far from them, many of their "traditional supporters" haven't realized that says langmann, very true, they have moved far to the left, into N D P territority> NDP are just Liberals in a hurry, Harpers Conservatives are firmly in the center where the Liberals used to be. Apparently over 5.000,000 Canadians also think so. Lizzy is a loon, she might have landed one or two seats if she hadn't spent all of her time, trying to overthrow the duly elected goverment, and she is still at it she obviously does not "hear the fat lady singing" and the rest of us wish we couldn't. Shut up already Lizzy, or go and find Heather Malice( try iceland) and do a Thelma and Loiuse thing you know go after those eevil Conservatives.
cheers Bubba
