Fox News' Red Eye decides to spend an entire segment mocking and bashing the CF. Their commentators are so ignorant they don't even know that Canada has had soldiers in Afghanistan for close 8 years now.
Of course they commentators and host are free to say anything they like, free to mock us, belittle people's names etc. They have freedom of speech. I suggest we talk back with our dollars. If you have a subscription to Fox News, cancel it. Send letters to their advertisers, wage a media war, protest or whatever. We don't need to accept this.
And people wonder why Fox News is mocked as being so stupid and uninformed.

I don't watch Red Eye. I find it ALWAYS to be more than a little on the crude/rude side of the fence. Gutfield is by NO stretch of the imagination an intellectual genius nor usually are his guests. And this is NOT a NEWS SHOW. It's a 'comedy show'.
Furthermore, it's STUPID and Insensitive to EVERYONE. This Canadian angst about how they are viewed by anyone in the US is not very becoming.
I know that this ill-informed US-centric behaviour is annoying, but really its small potatoes in the big Picture. It's the mirror image of the knee-jerk anti-American drivel you can find each and every day in the comments on just about any G&M article. Know-Nothingism is pretty much alive and well EVERYWHERE, but to get all bent out-of-shape over some silly 'comedian's' drivel ---Not Going There, thanks.

I don't watch Fox News and would never have heard of this comedy show but in the last few days I've had the opportunity to watch the entire anti-Canada tirade at least six times courtesy of links supplied by assorted Blogging Tories.

'Red Eye' is on FOX News, but it is nothing akin to their other programming.
It is weird that this show is even on that network.
I would not cancel FOX though, ever!
But, I have sent this host and panel members a little educational data on Canada's part in Afghanistan.

Red Eye, if it deserves to be on television at all, is appropriately placed at 3:00 a.m. What a dumb show.
I do like FOX news however, in spite of this stupid stunt. Someone obviously wasn't thinking when they put that show on the network.
Unlike previous posters, I couldn't care less.
Where I have I been anti-American? I think somethings you shouldn't joke about. Belitting the CF, and mocking our contribution to world security when we have been fighting and dying for years is not funny, and I don't find it acceptable.
The bottom line is, I didn't find it funny, I don't find it acceptable, and in this free market, I will vote with my dollars.
And its not clear that it's a satire show from it's site. Even still, somethings you don't mock.
